Inga Svala Thorsdottir (b. 1966, Iceland) works in Hamburg, Shanghai and Reykjavík

Wu Shanzhuan (b. 1960, Zhoushan) works in Hamburg, Shanghai and Reykjavík

Inga Svala Thorsdottir was born in Iceland in 1966. She graduated in 1991 from the Painting Department of the Icelandic School of Arts and Crafts, and in 1995 from the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. In 1993 she founded Thor’s Daughter’s Pulverization Service, and in 1999 she founded BORG.

Wu Shanzhuan was born in Zhoushan, China in 1960. He graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1986, and from the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg in 1995. In 1985, Wu founded Red Humour, and in 1990, he established Red Humour International.

 

In 1991, Wu began to work with the important Icelandic conceptual artist Inga Svala Thorsdottir. Since then, they have been working and exhibiting collaboratively.
